Terms of Service

The service

Pditor gives you a suite of PDF tools, some AI–assisted, hosted at pditor.com. Pditor is operated as an independent project; billing runs through LemonSqueezy as merchant of record. By using the service you accept these terms.

Free tier and quotas

The free tier is a permanent plan, not a time–limited trial. You can use it indefinitely without paying. It permits 5 tool runs and 10 AI calls per day per subject (a logged–in account or, for anonymous use, a hashed IP + cookie pair). Upload size is capped at 25 MB.

Pro removes the daily caps, raises the upload cap to 200 MB, and keeps generated outputs in storage for 15 minutes after each job rather than 60 minutes.

Payment and refunds

Billing is handled by LemonSqueezy, who acts as merchant of record. Because the free tier is a permanent plan, you can evaluate every tool — including the AI ones at the per–day cap — before deciding to upgrade.

If Pro turns out not to be what you needed, request a refund within 14 days of your first charge at billing@pditor.com. Refunds apply to the first charge of a new subscription only; renewal charges and subsequent subscriptions are not refundable. Cancel anytime from the dashboard — Pro access continues through the end of the period you already paid for, then lapses.

Where consumer law in your country grants a longer withdrawal right, that right applies regardless of what this section says.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you don’t have rights to.
• Use the service to evade copyright, defeat DRM, generate CSAM, or for any purpose unlawful in your jurisdiction.
• Scrape the site, share credentials, or route your own paying customers through the consumer endpoints. Programmatic use is fine under a documented API key (see the API page); un–keyed automation isn’t.

Copyright complaints

If you believe a file processed through Pditor infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to security@pditor.com with the work, the URL or job ID, and a statement made under penalty of perjury that you’re authorized to act for the rights holder. We act on valid notices within 5 business days. Repeat infringers lose access.

Liability

The service is provided as–is. We’re a small team; if a tool damages your file or output is wrong, our maximum liability is what you paid us in the trailing month. Keep backups of important documents.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where law prohibits exclusion — including death, personal injury, gross negligence, fraud, or statutory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.

Termination

You may close your account at any time via the dashboard or the GDPR erasure endpoint; see the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. For non–egregious violations we’ll email a 7–day notice first. For egregious violations (CSAM, repeat copyright infringement, active attacks against the service) we suspend immediately. To appeal, reply to the notice or write to security@pditor.com.

Disputes

Billing disputes (charges, refunds, chargebacks) are handled by LemonSqueezy under their merchant–of–record terms. For service disputes, contact security@pditor.com first — almost everything resolves there. Nothing in this section waives consumer rights you have in your jurisdiction.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that affects your existing subscription, you’ll get an email before the change takes effect.
