How much smaller will my PDF get?+
It depends on the file. Scanned and image-heavy PDFs shrink the most; text-only PDFs that are already optimised may change little.
Will compressing reduce text quality?+
No. Text and vectors stay sharp at every level — only images are downsampled. Higher levels lower the image resolution more, which is where the size savings come from.
